From the 26th to the 28th of June 2009 the Sopot Catamaran Cup, part of the Polish Catamaran Cup, took place.

Competitors raced in six categories: Open TR, A-class, F-18, K-20, TOPCAT and Juniors.

The long distance Sopot-Hel-Sopopt race was on Friday the 26th of June. On the Saturday and Sunday in winds of 3-5 on the Beaufort scale and very high waves there were 7 up and down races. The start and finish lines were by the Sopot quayside.

With great pleasure we can announce that Jacek Noetzel in the WingFoX boat

won first place in the A-Cat class.
